Friday Prompt: What is a story? What makes a good story?
When I hear the word story I always think of when I was a little kid and my mom would read to me. I always loved the Disney stories and the adventures I went on with all of them. I like stories that I can picture myself in and be right there with the characters. One component of a good story is being able to follow it. Knowing all the details without wondering about them. You shouldn't ever get some reading and ask yourself what the point was. A good story also consists of things that catch your reader from the very beginning so they don't want to put it down.

What makes a good story?
Monday, January 26, 2015
Hearbeats and silent words!
Eyes meet
Heart beats
Faster and faster
Mouth opens
Words won’t come out
It’s like you’re scared
Even though you know
If someone cares
They won’t leave
They’ll never judge
So open your mouth
Let the words fall out
Pour out your heart
Let them know
That no matter what
You’ll be there
To catch them if they fall
Comfort them when they’re sad
be their eyes when they can't see
hold their hand through it all
teach them new things
put up with them on bad days
of course the good too
And that you’d never let them down.

Who am I?
Hey Guys my name is Brittny. I was a little nervous when it was mentioned that I would need to keep a blog. I had one quite awhile ago but it was used mostly for my poetry that I wrote. I will let you know that you will probably be seeing a lot of it as well on here. I love writing poetry I've just lost the time to enjoy writing it. Another disclaimer is that most of them will probably be sappy so I apologize in advance if there's anyone who doesn't care for that. I am currently working part time and going to school full time. I work at a small little place called Darbs Patio in Eaton Rapids, and am attending school with the intent to become an RN. I grew up and live in Springport which is a small town that not many people have heard of. So my commute is about an hour or so. My favorite time of year is the fall because of the leaves changing and beautiful scenery. So here's to an awesome semester and hopefully making a few new friends! Good luck to all of you with your blogs, I'll always read them!

Reflections
*SIGH* Its only day one of the semester and I sit here feeling overwhelmed already. I received the homework pack for my Algebra class and the first one listed is 1-91. 91 problems for my first homework assignment, I admit I died inside a little. I just want to get to where I am supposed to be. Lets think about it, am I really going to need fractions, and converting decimals to fractions in my career field? No, the answer is no! I know that this will all be worth it but at the moment I'm feeling a little overwhelmed and not looking forward to the upcoming months because like I said It's only day one!! So here's to hoping I make it out of this semester alive!
Truly, madly, deeply!
Has anyone ever told you that when you smile you light up a room? Or that when they’re with you they feel like nothing else in the world matters? How about that conversation with you is so easy or that your manic laugh is absolutely adorable? Has anyone ever told you that they admire the way that you genuinely care for things and other people? Or that they wish you could see the way your face lights up when you’re excited about something? Has anyone ever told you how much they cared about you or that spending time with you was their favorite thing to do? How about that even when you’re in complete silence, or playing a video game that they honestly don’t mind because they’re with you and that means more than you know? Has anyone ever told you that they can’t picture their life without you or that losing you would break them completely? Has anyone ever told you that they find themselves holding back from saying what’s on their mind because they’re scared that they will scare you away? How about that goodbyes get harder because all they want to do is give you a hug, a kiss, and say the words “I Love You”. Not because it’s an ordinary thing to do but because they truly, deeply love you more than anything they ever have before.
