Words Hurt

Words that I find offensive, are any words that are degrading or hurtful to people. If you are in any friendship or relationship where someone cuts you down or calls you names it's not okay!!  Some words can be hurtful to people that may just be a joke to you. People so freely call others some of these that I would find hurtful:
-bitch
-cunt
-whore
-slut
-dick
-stupid
These are only a few that I would find offensive if they were seriously said to me!

Studying is terrible!

So if any of you are like me you know that studying for things sucks! In high school I never really studied for tests or anything so college is a definite reality check. I found that I need to exercise better studying habits for the sake of doing well and my grade. I need to write down exactly what I need to do because otherwise I will forget and it won't be good.

Warm weather!

So I don't know about you guys but this warm weather is absolutely amazing to me.  I am not a big fan of cold or snow.  Actually anything that has to do with winter.  I love not having to worry about the roads being bad on the way to class or work.  The thought of waking up even earlier than I already do just because the roads might be bad made me sad.  Now it's clear and bright and I absolutely love it.  Someone told me the other day that it's supposed to be 30 degrees next week and I wanted to cry.  So everyone do their warm weather dance and hope for spring!

Blahhhhhhhh

Wow what a weekend.  I am so thankful that today is Sunday.  I worked on Friday and Saturday both days from 5 until close which is usually about 3 in the morning.  I cannot tell you how much I dislike being out that  late.  I think it's time to start job searching  especially considering I don't make the money that I should be making for the time I am there.  Today was a great day.  We got up did  a 20 minute workout,  which consisted of 10 minutes of jump roping and 10 minutes of trail running.  It was a little muddy but it felt great to get outside! 

Chicago

So today I was looking up train tickets for Chicago. I wouldn't mind taking a day trip down when it gets nicer so we can walk the Navy Pier and down the mile of shops and stores. I have been to Chicago before but it has been a couple years and I really want to go back. Another reason I would like to re-visit is to go to the Shedd Aquarium and The Museum Of Science and Industry! I went in 7th grade but that seems like forever ago. It was also a very quick trip so there's so much left unseen. Hopefully I find a time on spring break to go!

Warm weather!!

I am absolutely loving this weather we have had the past couple of days. IT is finally starting to look more like spring. I don't care that it is only in the 40's because that is so much better than negative 20! Being able to grab a light jacket while walking out the door is a great feeling and I am excited for the day when I don't have to tie my shoes but can instead slip on some flip flops and be on my way!

Guilty pleasure

I would have to say that my guilty pleasure is the show Pretty Little Liars. When I first started to get into the show I was hooked.  I'm not sure if it was the drama or the storyline that keeps sucking you in.  I had missed the first season so I went on Netflix and caught up so I knew exactly what was happening and why.  Not alot of people know that I watch this show,  but I definitely consider it my guilty pleasure.  Don't judge me!  Haha

Wii U !!

So I'm pretty excited because next weekend we are going to get a Wii u! We have been talking about it for what seems like forever and its finally happening. I am most excited for the exercise part of it and all of the old school games that we are going to get to play. WE plan on getting Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Wii Fit U, and Zumba!!  We are also going to consider this our "cheat day" for the month and get Chinese food and see a movie!

Media

In the world we live in today media is a huge thing. I was just talking to someone the other day and wondered when did it all start. I remember when I was a child I would go outside and play and talking on the phone, playing a game on the Nintendo, and getting on the internet were things that you earned. Now honestly my phone is always with me, and I text people more than I  should I remember I used to talk on the phone all the time. Media is impacting children more than anyone in this world because instead of going out and being active they are playing video games and on social media more than anything. I also think the media has a huge influence on young girls and how they view themselves. When you see a cover of a magazine and see a photo shopped and edited image you think that is what you have to look like or no one will like you. Its sad to say but technology is only going further. What is going to happen to our society, our children, and their children?
